Destination
You will be in the capital city of this Southeast Asian country. The country has a population of 16 million people and over 2 million people reside in the capital. The majority demographic of people in the city are young people. This country is a Buddhist nation with about 2% of Evangelical Christians. There are a few major universities in the capital; however, we are targeting one specifically with the faith and hope of reaching more campuses in the future.
Team
The team in the capital consists of one family from the US, two Indonesian families, and two local families. These families are focused on working on a business, cultivating a church plant, finding university employment, and living naturally and relationally with their neighbors. Our team focuses on helping the local people know and love Christ.
Serve
We want to trust God to reach and disciple university students and their families. We have a pioneering ministry on this campus. God has opened doors for us to have bible studies with students off campus. The ministry will include teaching part-time on campus, hanging out with and reading the Word with students, and taking language classes.
